Rattan Dining
Our Rattan Garden Dining Set Collection
Rattan is a timeless material that has been popular for many years, and we can’t see that changing any time soon. Rattan dining furniture lends itself to any outdoor living space, modern or traditional. Rattan used for garden furniture is a man-made product known as synthetic rattan. This is not the same as natural rattan. Synthetic rattan, also known as PE rattan, is crafted from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). This material mimics the aesthetics of natural cane while remaining highly weather-resistant. Rattan dining furniture is popular because it combines durability and weather-resistance with aesthetics. The rattan is typically hand-woven around a powder-coated aluminium frame. This offers maximum durability as the frames can stay outside all year round. The weave is designed with outdoor conditions in mind. Rattan garden furniture is UV-treated, water-resistant and frost-resistant. Unlike natural rattan, synthetic rattan does not absorb moisture, so it won’t rot or warp. PE rattan needs to be UV-treated; the furniture is exposed to sunlight for many hours. If the strands are UV-treated, then they won’t dry out and crack from sun exposure. Rattan comes in many different colours and styles; this is another reason why rattan is a popular choice. Grey rattan dining sets look great in a contemporary garden, whereas lighter, natural shades are at home in a traditional garden. Good-quality rattan can be left outside all year round; that being said, there are a few things you can do to look after your furniture. Regular care will keep your rattan outdoor dining set looking its best for years to come. We would always advise you to use a protective furniture cover. This helps protect your furniture against the elements, garden debris and bird droppings. Covers should be used whenever you are not using your furniture for prolonged periods of time. To clean your furniture, use a mixture of mild detergent and warm water. Then use a clean sponge or cloth to clean the rattan frames and remove any dirt. If you notice any stubborn dirt, you can use a dry soft-bristled brush to gently unlodge the dirt. The most demanding part of any furniture set is the cushions. Cushions should always be brought inside when you are finished using the furniture. Always store them somewhere dry. If you need to clean the cushion covers, you can use warm soapy water to spot clean the cushions. We advise against machine washing the cushion covers as this will damage the water-repellent coating. Why Choose Rattan Garden Furniture?

How Much Space Do I Need Around a Garden Dining Table?
Designing your perfect outdoor space isn’t just about choosing a beautiful dining set. The key to creating a comfortable and functional retreat lies in spacing. Too little room around your garden furniture, and the space will feel cramped. However, too much unused space can make your garden feel disconnected.
